CUDDLES FOUNDATION

Works through partnerships with government and charitable cancer hospitals that treat underprivileged children with the highest need for nutrition. Programs include placing a nutritionist in the hospital and providing customised diet counseling, and free food and nutrition to children. Products sold online directly fund nutrition for kids with Cancer.

KSHITIJ

A Mumbai-based NGO that employs adults with intellectual disabilities to create exquisite hand-crafted items and chocolates that make excellent corporate and personal gifts. Participants with conditions such as Down’s Syndrome, Autism and Brain Damage are supervised by professional instructors and family members in sheltered and nurturing workshops, engaged in various recreational activities with their peers, and provided with a salary for their work.

JAI VAKEEL FOUNDATION

For over 75 years, jai vakeel foundation has reached out to thousands of intellectually & developmentally disabled (idd) children, most of whom belong to the lower socioeconomic strata. As the largest and oldest non- profit serving these children, our approach is holistic; we aim to integrate our students into mainstream society by providing them with healthcare, education, skill development and support services.

SAVERA CENTRE DAY CARE & SHELTERED WORKSHOP FOR THE DIFFERENTY ABLED

“Savera” (meaning “Dawn”) is a Centre and a Sheltered Workshop under the Maharashtra State Women’s Council (MSWC), serving differently abled underprivileged children. The main objective of the centre is to impart academic education and vocational skills to the children with the aim of making them self-reliant, so that they can develop to the best of their potential. Children (aged 18+) learn to make a variety of creative products which enhance their creativity, and give them an independent source of income.

SHRADDHA CHARITABLE TRUST

Shraddha Charitable Trust, a registered non-profit vocational workshop founded in 1998, empowers and rehabilitates severely autistic and mentally challenged young adults and enables them to earn a living. By handcrafting and selling tastefully designed and internationally appreciated ecofriendly products, Shraddha provides a means of livelihood and support for those that are often assumed to lead a dependent life.

S.P.J SADHANA SCHOOL

SPJ Sadhana School is a specialist school, the only one of its kind in the country. It trains students with Special Education Needs (SEN) to be productive members of society. Ever since its inception, 50 years ago, the School has worked ceaselessly towards helping the students with Special Education Needs (SEN), not only to learn to adjust to the world around, but more – to become a useful member of the human community, independent and self-sufficient, with a contribution to make to society.

ADVITYA – A CREATIVE CENTRE FOR THE SPECIALLY GIFTED

A creative centre for those gifted with conditions like Down’s Syndrome, Autism and Cerebral Palsy, among others. Aims to enhance the lives of people with different abilities by leveraging their individual skills, building confidence through vocational training, providing their families with a robust support system and creating awareness about the cause.

AFTERTASTE: Empowered women = Empowered family

Aftertaste’s work started with economic empowerment of the women of the community using art and craft as a medium and enabling the women to earn a dignified livelihood. Subsequently through the process of skilling the women and generating a livelihood, Aftertaste works with the women and their families continuously, to bring about social change by empowering them with knowledge and exposure to build capacity in the areas of education, healthcare and financial literacy leading to an improvement of the socio-economic condition of their families.
